Invitation to comment on urban development at West Belconnen, ACT & NSW
In the last Newsletter, I mentioned the notice in the Canberra Times on 14 May 2016 seeking everyone's ideas about the West Belconnen/Parkwood Development. A strategic assessment of the likely impacts of development is being conducted under Part 10 of the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
Public comments are due by 10 June 2016. We certainly encourage everyone to make their own submission. The GFA is still finalising our submission but, due to the impending deadline, I have put together some points that you may wish to consider putting to the Department of the Environment.
