Hi all
As part of Australian Heritage Week, the Southwell Family Society will be holding an Open Day at the Parkwood Chapel. The Wesleyan chapel was built of local granite in 1880 by local Canberra pioneer, Thomas Southwell on his own property at his own expense. The chapel was restored by the Southwell Society in 2010.
Sunday, 13 April, noon – 4pm
Monday, 14 April, 10am – 2pm
300 Parkwood Road, via Macgregor
Continue past the turnoff to Parkwood Eggs until you reach the sign to Parkwood itself on the right.
The Ginninderra Falls Association Committee will be there on Sunday from 2:30 – 3:30pm. Come and see the Chapel then and have a chat.
