Dr Bryan Harry Pratt is a Science Pathologist who graduated from Sydney University in 1959. He completed an Honours Degree at the University of Adelaide in 1961 then a PhD in 1964. His main area of interest has been in soil-borne pathogenic fungi. In 1965 he moved to Canberra to join the Commonwealth Department of Health before returning to academic life at the Australian National University where he carried out research and lecturing in pathology for seven years.
